As we head into the final stretch of 2024, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates with you! We are seeing incredible growth in our ministry, and there’s so much to celebrate as we continue to reach kids, build relationships, and work towards our mission of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Growth in Club Numbers – God is on the Move!
One of the most exciting updates I have is the increase in the number of students attending our weekly Young Life clubs. It’s been amazing to see how God is opening doors and creating opportunities for us to connect with more and more kids. This is a direct result of your faithful prayers and generous support, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see these young lives being impacted by the gospel.
From new faces at club to deepening relationships in small groups, there is a growing hunger for community and truth in the students we serve. As our numbers increase, we’re also seeing more volunteer leaders step up, excited to be part of the mission. We’re eager to continue meeting these kids where they’re at, helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence, and offering them hope and purpose in Christ.
A New Chapter: My Interview for Area Director
Another exciting milestone is that this month I’ll officially be interviewing to become the new Area Director for our Young Life area! This is an incredible opportunity, and I am both humbled and excited about what it could mean for the future of our ministry. If I’m selected, it will be a chance for me to pour even more into the vision and leadership of our area, continuing to support our leaders, expand our reach, and ensure that more students are impacted with the love of Jesus.
As always, I am so grateful for your prayers and support through this process. Please join me in praying for discernment, clarity, and that God’s will would be made clear as we move forward into this next chapter of ministry.
Cheering for Kids – Our Annual Fundraiser in March!
Looking ahead, we’re also gearing up for our annual Cheering for Kids fundraiser in March! This event is one of the biggest opportunities for us to raise the funds needed to support our ministry—everything from club resources, to leader training, to scholarships for kids to attend camp. It’s a time to celebrate what God is doing in the lives of students and to rally our community around the mission of Young Life.
This year, we are expecting even more excitement and participation as we continue to build momentum in our area. Whether you are able to attend, donate, or simply pray for the success of the event, we would love for you to be part of this special evening that helps fund our ongoing work with students. Last year we raised over $100,000!
